Good Pixie! Bad Pixie!

Plan: 40 mins run 5:2
Run: Nowt!

Got up and spent an hour or so sorting gnome's stuff out as he is of on holiday for the week with his Gran and Grandad on their canal boat. Walked the 10 mins each way to the paper shop then off we went.

Got home had lunch and the tready arrived!!! Oh yes!
So I spent the next 4hrs (less 30 mins to sit down and drink a cuppa tea!) clearing the garage and making my tready! After which time I had had a good workout and was knackered! Hubby then decided we would go out for tea! I drove so no booze but vey nice and large dinner was consumed!

So it's here! 99% finished, just need to tighten some bolts and earth the plug then organise the garage again! Problem is do I do my 40min run from today or the intervals? Monday is my next long run (so I don't have a long run next weekend when Gnome is back as I would have missed him as it is!)

Oh and I passed the last section of the Fit2Run course and have the final bit to do!
Also I have enrolled on the free Get Fit For Life course with Loughborough college which is all about diet healthy living stress managment etc. Wednesday I am going for an assesment in a Bod Pod which accurately gives lean body mass, fat and total mass (or something like that!) also they will take blood pressure etc and then this will be repeated at the end of the course! The kick up the butt I needed to get this diet on the road! New Tready and this course - sorted!

Remember this?

Yes I'm back on the bench :-( That sore foot thing on Wednesday... well it's still here. In typical bruised fashion it hurts more after a period of sitting down/sleep and I've been popping the brufen. There is a slight swelling too. Don't think it is laces ... on closer inspection the pain is (looks at google ... gives up and picks up "how to run injury free" instead) on the sesamoids area of the err middle phalanger (??? impressed hey!) In the same location where you would get morton's neuroma but the description is wrong so I don't think it's that!! (oh the perils of a little knowledge from a book or the web hey!) Anyways this means I'm on the bench. No running. I have 4 or 5 weeks until the Suicide Sixish so no panic, I will take 1 whole week off regardless and see what happens next weekend. Also think I will get some new shoes with more cushioning. Now all I need to do is locate my bike and/or exercise bike from the depths of the garage un...

Sensible Head

The choice was getting wet or getting wet. I opted for the wet but warm option rather than the wet, cold and wind swept option! So 1m done at the pool including 2 goals being achieved and some board work. I said a while ago I wanted to be able to do 20 lengths non stop DONE and 10 lengths of front crawl non stop DONE!! So happy pixie. Used a different pool today as I wanted to see about lessons for Gnome. It was a nightmare to locate the car park and once I found it, it was full to the brim with cars circling for spaces so I drove the 200m down the road to the free parking and nabbed the last space there instead! The pool is old so not pretty or ponced up but it is clean and in good repair and they do Saturday lessons and Gnome can start this week! OK so he then has 2 weeks off but how good is that! My other option was the pool near work and a possible start mid February! So just need to get the OK from Gnome and a commitment to get out of bed for a 9:30 lesson every week until March (...

An Update

Just for bear!! he-he I was very tempted just to say that but I shant!! If, like bear, you wondered where I am these days ... well mainly on Fetch and RealBuzz as I can get to both of those places during work. Unlike the old days, when I was at college and the old work place, I can't chat all day and I don't tend to go online much at home. Anyway that promised update. Good News: I won a 32" LCD TV!! I'm running 6 times a week! I'm using not wearing my HRM. I'm averaging 20m+ a week now!! Bad News: Despite lots of running I'm still err lardy because I'm comfort eating constantly. My phone is by my side 24/7 and I am expecting a call any time, to be honest I am amazed grandma is still with us, so yes I'm expecting the call, dreading the call and stuffing my face. Good job I am running lots then really! I'm worried it will become a habit though so I am trying to adjust the eating, I'm trying to bring in lots of fruit and eat that, or low fat ...
