Today we finally got round to putting up the Christmas decs. I wrote some cards, made the lantern and started to glitter the snowman's hat! The carpet (already hoovered twice this weekend) is not covered in glitter!
To maintain the pretty coloured theme I have two kiddie plasters (1 red 1 yellow!) on my left hand (Sunday roasts are dangerous I tell you!) and the wrapping paper is ready for use.
Shortly I will settle down with the last of last nights wine and attach the wrapping!
I did think about running today but the weather was awful and my legs don't approve of the excessive board work I did in the pool yesterday! Tomorrow I will be talking my kit to work however and Tuesday as I am off I may do a longer run - or a short run and a swim at a potential swimming lesson pool!
Whilst reading RW magazine last night I did seriously consider a NYD 5m in Derbyshire and then thought NO I'm not up to race pace and I won't even look at races until I am consistently running 10mm pace. I even deleted the Reading Half from my fetch race profile.
Talking of decisions - WW costs me £5 per week and I have come to the conclusion I am not getting what I need out of it. I said I would give it to Christmas and I have near as damn it. Tuesday hubby has to go to work at 5.30 so I can't go easily and next Tuesday I am driving home. So I will follow the WW principles, weigh myself at home every Monday morning and stay focused by running more and joining the ladies at work in their NY diet.
Running wise I want to hit 4 weekday runs by the end of January and I also want to get back to weekend runs to combine with the Gnome weekend swim. If he starts lessons then I will do a 30mins run whilst he has his lesson. The weekday runs are important as they reduce my morning eating (don't want a stitch) and improve my mood (Friday I was on cloud 9 after that run!). If I take soup then I am also not eating excessively either. That leaves just evening meals to crack (portion control) and weekends (I do like a glass of wine but maybe that should be put on hold if it is slowing my weight lose plans?) If Bear can do it why can't I?
Anyway the wrapping is calling!
Oh one final word "WELL DONE V-RAP AND BEE" great race guys!

Like the way you are thinking Pix!!!!
Oh..... and thanks - have just about defrosted now!!!!
How big is the Snowman
trying to visualise it
Benz I didn't enter Reading no and I'm only running 3m at a time now. OK so I have the time to get to 13m but not at the pace I want.
Snowman will be about 4 maybe 5ft high I think! I have his lantern stick by the front door, a 6" lantern without base (not sure how to attach the candle (yes real candle with red tinsel flame!) on my desk, hat (fits me!) covered in glitter on the floor and somewhere there is a 4-5" "carrot" about!
I doubt if the team will win but at least we have tried!
Bee glad you have warmed up now!
wont be the same without you at reading
very impressed with the way your thinking good luck
