Whoops! Sorry!

Sorry Yes I've been busy!

Also puter is dying of a virus and needs re-installing but Gnome is half way through a project! So sorry to anyone who has mailed me (Bear!) and thanks!

Also I played hostess to 2 speedy folks, have driven to Reading and played cheer leader for Gnome!

Yesterday Gnome did the Green Park Challenge at Reading. It's 3.3km and he finished in 20:55 which is faster than me! Bless!

I've also been busy at the gym going 4-5 times a week. I'm trying to get folks to give me money for my birthday for PT sessions there to aid in this year's weight lose goals. So far this week I have lost 4lb despite gaining due to courses. So slow but in the right direction.

Running has been restricted to 10 ish mins on the tready or max 1mile but it's good. I have to admit to feeling a tad emotional and jealous at both the Ashby 20 and Reading but I'm focused on losing the weight and that is what I will do!

I'm now on my 2nd week of Rosemary Conley as there is now a class at work. I lost 2lb last week and these are the pounds that count for the sponsored slim I am doing (It's for Macmillan if anyone wants to sponsor me!)

I'm off on holiday next week - 1st of the year and I need it! Work is great still but tiring! I am also doing 2 courses over the next 3 weeks both in Business Objects and in London (near Fleet St) for 1 day then 3 days. So busy busy busy!

Oh and J is back in the UK; there was 138 attacks on the base in Basra whilst he was there and the closest damage was 30ft away from him! He also has carpal tunnel syndrome and is hoping to be told to go back to work injured! Either way the latest he is back to work is the end of May so not long now!

Think that's all for now! I do update Fetch with all my training so if you are bored look there!! Cya!!

Gnome's time was great - well done!

And well done to you for all the gym visits and the steady weight loss, it sounds like you are enjoying it all.

and then the was three!

Well before now I've had arguments between Pixie and Trixie and today Logic joined in! Pixie siad run yes but not too long cos you ran yesterday and have hardly run in 2 weeks! Trixie said but but but need to do a long run, long runs are good! Logic said runs are good and tomorrow you give blood so won't run and Tuesday you have post blood rest day and a massage! Trixie and Logic then argued it out. Trixie won! Logic then spent the whole run saying, slow down, breath, it's too hot, see now you're paying! Trixie struggled on with the "hey I'm running!" smile on her face until she hit yet another hill when smile vanished and was replaced with serious "I will not give in" face! So that's it then! 6.7m of sllllloooooowww hard work! Will post stats later but they aren't that pretty! But as Leon said - we run because we enjoy it! Today was more of a "I WANT to do a long run" run than a need to do a long run run! Next week I will repea...

Stoppy Sulking Pixie

Ok so if you remember (assuming you were listening!) yesterday I mentioned that today would be swimming! Fraggle had given me some advice on how to improve my front crawl so off I went full of enthusiasm ready to master front crawl! 40 mins later I sulked out of the pool annoyed and frustrating and failing to master the front crawl! See like a lot of casual swimmers I "thrash about making a lot of splashes!" when doing crawl and this means my HR sores and I die at the end of 1 length needing 3-4mins recovering at the side of the pool before I attempt to swim another length in any stroke! Fraggle pointed out that if I place my head in the water properly (like look at the bottom of the pool rather than half under) then slow down, breathe out when in the water the breath in as your head leaves the water (I know what I mean even if you don't!) then it will be easier! Sounded good and practice breathing in the house went well!! I get in the pool - this is it. I can do this! Oh...

Smiley Happy Pixie!

I've been for a run!!! Yep it's true! Well back was fine after driving and doing the shopping ysterday as well as mowing the lawn. I watched the GNR and was jealous I wasn't running so ... I did 40mins of solid running .... longest solid run since Feb! Back fine - only niggle is shoulder from the ouch this morning when I was taking my tablets! No idea why! Felt really good and pace was much better than I expected .... not run for 10 days now! So 3.424m in 40:17 av pace 11:44mm (11.39,11.57,11.39,11.51) very happy! Really enjoyed it and really pleased! So back to training next week (and work). Tomorrow will be 50mins of walk run with a long run in the middle. Wednesday speedwork on the tready and Friday 40mins solid on the tready as hubby has to go to work early. Leaving a long run at the weekend. Fingers crossed!
