Kitchen update!
Sainsbury have been very slow and I've had to chase them but today they were very helpful! In fact they are concerned we may end up out of pocket so have even suggested a work around for us to get kitchen fitted without us then having to pay out extra for missing bits etc. Very helpful! So it's now down to us to make up our minds on fitters etc and take it from there! Looks like I may get my kitchen fitted after all but not until the new year now anyway! Still there is light and soon I will be able to use my garage and therefore treadmill!
Today I will be having my last run with J. He has just changed phones for the new Nokia 5500 (as seen on the Fetch site) and it looks cool! It comes with sports software that enables you to log runs, walks etc and calculates the distance covered by using a pedometer style measurement system. OK so this isn't hugely accurate (compared to a garmin) but it will be interesting to see how accurate it is. If it's good then when I get to change my phone (not for ages mind!) I may see if I can get one so I can use that to record my lunchtime walks too! OK it's true I just want another gadget!!

OMG!
Not sure what happened there then!
New PB by 1min 36!
Fetch works that out to a 34:20 5K which is my PB (set on a short flat course and this route is not flat or short!) So I am WELL happy! In fact Fetch says that apart from 2 1m time trials last year this was my best pace for 2005 and 2006 so probably a best ever! How happy am I! (The Nokia said it was over 4m and we did 8mm pace which would be lovely if somewhat of a lie!)
The weather was perfect, Ok so there was a few sloppy wet patches across the field and down the trail (J has now officially got his shoes properly muddy after 176m!) but perfect! Neither of us are sure what went right today … it just happened! Today's run was 3mins faster than last week and 2 mins faster than the week before almost! OK so we ran up the hill but that can't have accounted for all the time!
Oh well! Don't care! Most happy!

Oh and for anyone interested … Tour De France is in London on 7th July 2007 doing a time trial on The Mall and in Hyde Park.
Oh and finally another 2lb off!

your right about shifting a few pounds been the key to quicker runs since i started running ive shifted 3 stone but my average long run pace has gone from 11.30 m/m to 9.15 m/m and most of that has come natrually with the weight loss!
keep it up pix well done
