Saturday: Aim to build a raised bed!
1st - try to fix sink. Yes it was a touch of avoidence tactics but it did need doing. Sink is now 99% fixed (will confirm tomorrow I hope!)
Then off to wood merchant - Decided to get deeper wood (9" not 6") but that had to be ordered so now wood to take home, but they will make me some stacks so I don't have to make points! Total cost of wood less than £16 whereas everyone else was spending 2-400!!
Ok so no wood meant I could prep the ground ... several hours of digging later I was totally knackered but it looks so much better and only half done! Take away curry and wine well and truely deserved!
Sunday:
Swimming with Gnome.
Practiced my front crawl breathing whilst stood still! Also did 30-60 secs bursts of rapid kicks which were very tiring!
Tesco - oh the excitement
Now back to the garden!
TTFN!
Later that evening!
Boy am I shattered! Two days of hard labour - a 15m run would have been easier both on the knees and the exhaustion levels!
Garden is getting there ... attacked some Ivy today, finished the rockery areas (just need some heather now!) and started to edge the veggie area. My hands are really sore now though!
I need to level out the area more ready for the veggie patch. Dig up some more weeds (were the birds spilt their food!) and get the compost dug in (once the boards are up!)
Then the final touch will be some bark to cover the surrounding area for walking on and weed prevention! Oh and some gravel (I think!) on the rockery too.
We treated ourselves to a take away curry last night (ate the most I had eaten for ages because all that hard work had made me starving!) and tonight we had a barbie (for the ease and lack of washing up!). Haven't we been healthy!
Now to chill with a bottle of Archers Vue and a book. Hubby is on mornings next week which means the morning school run for me and also he will go to bed early so I stay up late alone! Hey ho!
Oh and great news - looks like I can do the TrailPlus runners camp in Feb!!
