Ouch

I injured myself yesterday when I did my run :-(

No not my leg! I had my mobile clipped on to my tights and it rubbed. I was only running for less than 12 mins I have a sore ... it hurts :-( A sign I need to lose weight I guess! Never done it before and I always wear my mobile! Mind you I am after a new one cos this one doesn't keep it's charge very well now and a new one would be nice!

No running for me today, I will walk to school (assuming I get out of work in time) and I will aim to do some other stretching etc when I get home (not very hopeful cos I haven't done any yet!)

Still pondering the tready.

Ouch!

I always put my mobile in either the pocket on the back of my tights, or take the high5 fuel belt and pop it in there.

my phone is too big! Another reason to get a new one!

Hey - I quite fancy a new mobile, I may try that excuse with MrsW.

Mobile phone sore

..now that is unlucky Pix.. It definitely needs replacing - I mean, the weight alone could unbalance you and cause another injury..!!!

;o)

If you'll use it and get in the training when otherwise you wouldn't/couldn't then get one.

If it'll gather expensive dust......

Only you know Pix - but if you can't leave the house for good reasons which otherwise means that you'll not be able to do nuffink...

Then it does seem like a good idea.

I used the Crossy a LOT when I was first injured, and it kept my fitness going a treat..!!

Not got it anymore though...

There are some truely wonderful people out there

just recieved this by mail from a fellow blogger. I want to share it so everyone can benefit as I have. I've wiped my tears away and I've printed this up so when I am getting sulky and down I will read this and remember .... Aim High! (how appropriate is that name!) Don't EVER think that you any any less of a runner than anyone else Kim, You show a dedication and determination that puts many people to shame. You have a goal for your marathon time which is truly amazing - and I am inspired by it..We all have our dream peaks (sorry about the mountain reference again - I'm a mountaineer too!) - and they are a reflection of who we are and what we are able to acheive - for ourselves - and anyone who can't see the value of that endeavour is blind indeed. When you run your next pb - to me that is as phenomenal an achievement as any world record..and I will bounce up and down like a mad thing at the thought of it - and I get pretty animated when I'm excited about somethi...

Remember this?

Yes I'm back on the bench :-( That sore foot thing on Wednesday... well it's still here. In typical bruised fashion it hurts more after a period of sitting down/sleep and I've been popping the brufen. There is a slight swelling too. Don't think it is laces ... on closer inspection the pain is (looks at google ... gives up and picks up "how to run injury free" instead) on the sesamoids area of the err middle phalanger (??? impressed hey!) In the same location where you would get morton's neuroma but the description is wrong so I don't think it's that!! (oh the perils of a little knowledge from a book or the web hey!) Anyways this means I'm on the bench. No running. I have 4 or 5 weeks until the Suicide Sixish so no panic, I will take 1 whole week off regardless and see what happens next weekend. Also think I will get some new shoes with more cushioning. Now all I need to do is locate my bike and/or exercise bike from the depths of the garage un...

Back to Square One - again

Well it feels like it!! Since my lurgy my running has been going backwards ... work has been really stressfull and the weight has been going nowhere (except my belly) Last night I was out with some of the folks which was nice (the boss paid despite the fact that work may not give him the money - grrr big gripe, shant go there!). Anyway this means I now have a large belly and today I need to start getting serious. Now I know I have said this sooo many times before but I've put on more weight over Christmas, New Year, hubby's birthday and with the lurgy preventing me working any calories off for 4 weeks I'm probably the heaviest I have been post Oliver. I'm uncomfortable and my bra is rubbing when I run meaning I have chaffs all over the place and I feel ashamed. So I MUST lose some weight, even if it is just to get back to below 11st I have to shift something. So sensible head on. Tonight is club run and I hope it will be better than the last 3 post lurgy runs ....
