Recovering Still?

Well the quads are still a tad tight/sore (mainly the right one) so I guess that I am still recovering from FLM and that the Friday run and Saturday drills where probably too soon!

So in the mean time I will try to do some strethes and maybe some toning (failed so far!) some gardening and plumbing (yep still haven't sorted the washing machine!)

I have to races entered this year so plenty of time to rest, recover and gain some proper fitness, strength and speed! I may do the Mortimer 10K in September (depending on the date) but that's all I have in mind!

Pix the trampett is great. I can either do a two-footed bounce or a kind of on-the-spot-knees-up-mother-brown type jog (which I prefer). Can easily while away half an hour to mtv or eastenders. It's low impact and aerobic exercise. Maybe get one (only £18 from argos) and try it out before forking out for a tready? (at least then you can watch tv rather then being stuck in the garage - and if Oliver is anything like me teo then he'll love it too :o)

sounds like a good idea Frags - I might have a nose about. Boots do them and I have points so could get it free!

i think you're being *very* disciplined and not looking for races for a while - I know I couldn't do it!

The Next Three Weeks

So I have a few busy weeks ahead that may, or may not, affect what happens here. So this weekend I am running the Chester metric marathon - should do about 3:30 and get a PB by around 30 mins if things go to plan. Next week I am on holiday and have the in-laws visiting which will be nice. Then after then I have 2 weeks of jury service in Derby. I really want to get a case as I am really interested in knowing what actually happens and what it's like in court. But knowing my luck I will have 2 weeks of waiting for nothing. I have Ami's zoom calls to review and take notes on, books to read, coloring/drawing to try my hand at and Loki to watch! After that the exciting news is my part time request has gone through so from 4th December I will be part time. Very exciting. Then hopefully I can start a potential path to being a swimming teacher. Fun days ahead

What Are You??

Apparently I am a geek after spending some time chatting to a first line support person and comparing degrees!! I am also apparently an executive as I earn more than a certain sum of money! This I must point out is executive in the eyes of a Midlands person and not a southern!! I think I am a runner and a mother because I run and have a son! I don't think I have a career and would struggle to define what I really do! Talking of which I may change the address for this site to blog.html or similar because if I do go job hunting I am not sure if my made ramblings should be front page news!! hehe!! I currently work in IT doing support with a hint of customer service at second line. I run and I'm trying to learn to draw! So what or who are you!?!

and then the was three!

Well before now I've had arguments between Pixie and Trixie and today Logic joined in! Pixie siad run yes but not too long cos you ran yesterday and have hardly run in 2 weeks! Trixie said but but but need to do a long run, long runs are good! Logic said runs are good and tomorrow you give blood so won't run and Tuesday you have post blood rest day and a massage! Trixie and Logic then argued it out. Trixie won! Logic then spent the whole run saying, slow down, breath, it's too hot, see now you're paying! Trixie struggled on with the "hey I'm running!" smile on her face until she hit yet another hill when smile vanished and was replaced with serious "I will not give in" face! So that's it then! 6.7m of sllllloooooowww hard work! Will post stats later but they aren't that pretty! But as Leon said - we run because we enjoy it! Today was more of a "I WANT to do a long run" run than a need to do a long run run! Next week I will repea...
