Well according to my HRM I could be either! I'm sending it back and after a full refund :-(
Today's run:
started off at 110 at the door then within 20 mins I was at an impressive 58! Then 15 or so mins later I thought I should call the ambulance as I was at 240 where it sat for about 10 mins not sure if it had a connection or not, by the time I finished (70 mins walk:run) I was at 98.
Anyway it resulted in 4.8m of walk:run (3:3) and was tiring! Not sure if the tiredness was 3 days of running, no breakfast or the longest (time) run in a month but I was tired! Never at the "Not gonna carry on" stage but still I had to work hard! It started of Fab! Probably too fast at times (I went under 10mm (downhill!) on my 2nd run section) but during those moments I felt fantastic! I felt like a real runner, fast, smooth and fit! (if somewhat tubby!) my fastest was 9.15mm pace (the GPS was working fine just the HRM wasn't!) and my running bits probably averaged in the 11-12.30 pace. It's great to be back running!
So I've written my mail and hopefully will get some reply tomorrow. If I do get a full refund I will then have a data recorder and a GPS component spare so will either have to find a new owner via the RW site or my club chairman (who owns The Derby Runner and whom got me the GPS!) I may then just scrap the HRM idea and just get a Garmin 101 or 201. My HR is stupidly high so HR training doesn't seem to work well and anyway when I get my tready it has a pulse reader on it so I will be able to keep an eye on what is happening.
Oh and my phone .... brilliant! Yesterday I trotted with the MP3 player on and headphones, today I forgot my headphones and started to sulk then realised I didn't need them!! So cool! I can run to music without worring about wearing headphones and not being able to hear what is going on around me!! Super cool! It seems that the headphones also act as an aerial for the DAB radio but even that can be listened to with the loudspeaker! See not all gadgets fail you!!
Oh forgot to say:
I tried to do an ice bath, I really did! I managed all of 30 seconds before I jumped out in pain! Pulled the plug out then jumped back in whilst the water was running away!
Update:
Green cone now installed and doesn't look as bad as I feared but boy was it hard work!! The hole was deep and the soil was hard clay and builders rubble (the house is 8yrs old) but here's hoping it works!
